Ismaël Koné attracts Juventus, Napoli and Milan interest
Ismaël Koné has emerged as a transfer target for several leading Italian clubs just weeks after completing a permanent move to US Sassuolo.
The 23-year-old midfielder, who joined Sassuolo following a loan spell from Olympique de Marseille, has quickly established himself as a central figure in the team’s system.
His performances since the start of the season have drawn widespread attention, prompting interest from some of Serie A’s most prominent sides.
Koné initially arrived at the club on a paid loan worth €2.5 million, with an обязатель purchase clause set at €7.5 million.
That agreement was activated recently, confirming his long-term stay with Sassuolo, where he is now under contract until June 2030.
Despite that commitment, speculation over his future has intensified. Reports from Italian media indicate that Juventus FC, SSC Napoli, Inter Milan and AC Milan are all monitoring his progress closely ahead of the summer transfer window.
Sassuolo, however, are understood to be keen to retain the midfielder unless a significant offer is made. The club’s management is said to value Koné at around €30 million, a figure that could rise further depending on his continued form.
The Canada international, of Ivorian origin, has been one of the standout performers in Sassuolo’s campaign. He has featured in 27 Serie A matches this season, contributing five goals while playing a key role in midfield.
His influence has been evident both in attacking phases and in maintaining balance within the team.
Koné’s development has been shaped by experiences across multiple leagues, including previous spells at Stade Rennais FC and Watford FC. Those experiences have contributed to his growth into a versatile and consistent performer.
With Sassuolo preparing for their upcoming league fixture against Cagliari Calcio, attention remains on both immediate results and longer-term planning. For now, Koné continues to play a pivotal role, even as interest in his services continues to grow.
As the transfer window approaches, the midfielder’s future is likely to attract further attention, with several clubs positioning themselves for a potential move.
