Yassin Adli, the Franco-Algerian player currently with AC Milan in Italy, has lifted the veil of uncertainty surrounding his international future and the national team he wishes to represent.
Italian website “Calcio Mercato” reported statements made by Adli during Wednesday’s press conference preceding Milan’s Europa League clash with Slavia Prague.
Adli expressed, “As a player, I want to compete at the highest level.”
Adli went on to declare, “Playing for France is a goal for me, but now is not the appropriate time to explain the reasons.”
It is worth noting that former Algerian national team coach Djamel Belmadi previously contacted Adli in attempts to recruit him for the Algerian national squad.
However, the player has shown no interest in the matter.
