Yannick Ferreira praises Abdallah El-Said and urges Zamalek to finish matches decisively
Yannick Ferreira walked away from the 2-0 victory over Ismaily with a smile but also with a message.
The Belgian coach of Zamalek praised the spirit of his team while stressing the importance of finishing games more decisively.
“I’m very happy with the result,” Ferreira said in the post-match press conference. “We created many chances and completely controlled the match, but we need a higher spirit to kill off the game more quickly.”
Ferreira also shared an update on Omar Jaber, confirming the player is expected to be fit for the next match. He addressed Bezerra’s disciplinary record, admitting some of the yellow cards were unnecessary but noting the physical nature of his role often attracts fouls.
The coach emphasized his constant demand for sharper finishing. “I spoke with the players about the need to improve our finishing and killing off the game. But this is the nature of football. Sometimes, many opportunities arise and only some are taken advantage of. We constantly strive to improve ourselves.”
Ferreira reserved special praise for Abdallah El-Said, calling him “a wonderful leader” whose professionalism at 40 continues to inspire Zamalek.
