Malawi–France centre-forward Yann Kouakou is being linked with a move from North Macedonian side Brera Strumica to Thai club Police Tero FC.

The 26-year-old attacker, currently valued at around €50k, is the subject of transfer speculation involving a switch from the Prva Liga in North Macedonia to Thai League 2, according to data from Transfermarkt dated 1 May 2026. The reported probability of the move is currently listed as “?”, underlining that talks remain at a speculative stage.

Kouakou, who wears the number 25 shirt for Brera Strumica, has no publicly listed contract expiry date with the club, raising the prospect that he could yet become a free agent if his current deal has quietly run down or is allowed to lapse. That uncertainty is fuelling suggestions Police Tero could try to secure a low-cost deal or even move if he is out of contract.

Born in Treichville on 17 August 1999, the 1.88m right-footed striker holds Malawian and French nationality and is listed primarily as an attacking centre-forward. He is currently registered with Brera Strumica, who compete in North Macedonia’s top flight, the Prva Liga, with his national-team field on the database also reflecting his club, AP Brera Strumica.

Transfermarkt’s latest update puts his market value at €50k, a figure that would make him an affordable option for a Thai League 2 side such as Police Tero, who are seeking value in overseas markets. No transfer fee, add-ons or contract length have been reported at this stage.

With the rumour yet to progress beyond early links and the likelihood of a move still unclear, a switch to Thailand would represent a significant change of environment and competition level for Kouakou – and, if it happens, could prove a pivotal step in reshaping his career trajectory and regional reputation in Asian football.
