Malawi-France centre-forward Yann Kouakou is being linked with a move from North Macedonian side Brera Strumica to Singapore Premier League club Tampines Rovers.

The 26-year-old, valued at €50,000 on Transfermarkt, is the subject of transfer speculation after reports in North Macedonia’s Prva Liga and Singapore suggest Tampines are monitoring his situation. With no public record of a contract expiry date at Brera Strumica, there is also talk that the forward could become a free agent if his current deal is close to running down or has quietly expired.

Kouakou, who wears the number 25 shirt at Brera Strumica, operates primarily as a centre-forward and is right-footed. Born on 17 August 1999 in Treichville and standing at 1.88m, he offers a physical presence at the top end of the pitch. He is listed with dual nationality, representing both Malawi and France.

The latest rumour, logged on 7 May 2026, carries an unspecified probability marker (“?”), underlining that the move remains firmly in the realm of speculation at this stage rather than a completed or advanced deal. There is no official confirmation from either club and no formal indication of a transfer fee, reinforcing suggestions that Tampines could be exploring a low-cost deal or a potential free transfer.

Kouakou has been turning out in the North Macedonian top flight, the Prva Liga, for Brera Strumica (also known as Akademija Pandev), but detailed recent match data – including opponents, dates, scorelines and individual performance figures – has not been disclosed in the current dossier.

If a switch to Tampines Rovers does materialise, it would mark a notable step into Asian football for Kouakou and could prove a pivotal move in reshaping his career trajectory, profile and future market value.
