Liverpool are being linked with a move for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande in a rumoured deal that could test the Premier League club’s resolve to invest heavily in one of Europe’s fastest-rising wide forwards.
According to transfer data compiled on 11 February 2026, Liverpool are exploring the possibility of signing the 19-year-old Côte d’Ivoire left winger from the Bundesliga side, with the probability of a move currently rated at 47%. Diomande is listed with a market value of €45.00m, a figure that would place him among the most expensive young attackers on the market if any formal bid were to emerge.
Diomande is under contract at Leipzig, but publicly available data does not show a fixed expiry date, leaving room for speculation that his situation could evolve towards a future free-agency scenario if no long-term agreement is finalised. For now, Leipzig remain his current club, and any switch to Anfield would require the German side’s approval.
Born in Abidjan on 14 November 2006, the right-footed left winger has taken a rapid route through senior football. After time in the United States with Yulee Hornets and DME Academy, he moved to Spain to join CD Leganés in the 2024-25 season, before transferring to RB Leipzig in July 2025. His rise in Germany has been matched by a sharp increase in valuation: from €600,000 at Leganés in May 2025 to €20m by October 2025, and then up to €45m by December 2025.
Competing in the Bundesliga for Leipzig, Diomande’s performances from the left flank have marked him out as a high-upside attacking option for elite clubs. If Liverpool do formalise their interest and a move eventually materialises, it could represent a pivotal step in his career, offering a platform to enhance his reputation further on both the Premier League and European stages.
