Another Blow for FC Barcelona: Defeated by Granada
FC Barcelona’s recent struggles continued as they were defeated 1-0 by Granada, a result that could see them slip to third place in La Liga by the end of the season. The defeat comes just days after their Champions League elimination at the hands of Atletico Madrid, marking another disappointing chapter in their season.
Granada, currently 15th in the league and battling against relegation, owed their victory to a standout performance by Algerian forward Yacine Brahimi. Brahimi, who has impressed with his dribbling ability throughout the season, scored the match-winning goal in the 16th minute. Barcelona, despite efforts from Messi, Neymar, and Iniesta, couldn’t find a way past Granada’s defense.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, has a chance to leapfrog Barcelona into second place with a win over Almeria, even without their star player Cristiano Ronaldo.
