Reports from Azerbaijani media outlets have surfaced on Wednesday, delivering unfortunate news regarding Algerian international striker Yacine Benzia, who plies his trade with Qarabag Club.
According to Azerbaijani website “oxu.az,” Benzia received two yellow cards in the first and second legs of the cup semi-final against Neftchi.
This development will deprive him of participation in the final match, where Qarabag Club will face Zira FK on June 2nd. Benzia is automatically suspended from participating in the final.
It’s worth noting that Benzia has been a key player for Qarabag Club this season, featuring in 47 matches across all competitions. He managed to score 16 goals and provide 15 assists.
