France defender of Malian descent, Ibrahima Konate, could move to Real Madrid in the summer transfer window.
The centre-back has enjoyed a good 2024/25 football season with English Premier League outfit Liverpool.
Although the team could not go far in the UEFA Champions League, Konate and his teammates have managed to clinch the English Premier League.
It is understood that Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso is a big fan of the French defender and will push to sign him for Real Madrid in case he is appointed as the clubs new head coach.
Alonso is currently considered the favourite for the Real Madrid job with Carlo Ancelotti set to leave at the end of the season.
Konate, whose Liverpool contract runs out in 2026, is understood to fancy a move to Real Madrid and will be open to making the switch if an approach is made.
Besides Real Madrid, Tottenham, Newcastle United, and some unnamed clubs in Saudi Arabia are believed to be interested in signing Ibrahima Konate.
