Moroccan football club Renaissance Berkane has extended an invitation to national team coach Walid Rakraki to attend the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final against Egypt’s Zamalek, set to take place on Sunday at Berkane Municipal Stadium.
Rakraki has accepted the invitation as a gesture of support for the players in their quest to secure a positive result against Zamalek before the return leg scheduled at Cairo International Stadium the following Sunday.
The final match of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday will also witness the presence of Fouzi Lekjaa, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, alongside several members of the executive board overseeing Moroccan football affairs.
It’s noteworthy that Renaissance Berkane progressed to the CAF Confederation Cup final following the withdrawal of Algerian side USM Alger in the semi-finals. Meanwhile, Zamalek overcame Ghana’s Dreams FC with a 3-0 victory to secure their spot in the final.
