Fawzi Al-Binzerti, the coach of Wydad Athletic Football Club, has withdrawn his resignation following the team’s severe loss against Saham Sporting Club with a scoreline of 3-1 on Wednesday evening, in the 18th round of the professional league.
According to a reliable source, the management of the “Red Team,” led by Abd al-Majid al-Barnaki, refused the resignation of the esteemed coach, known as the “Master of Coaches,” after he announced it during the press conference that followed the team’s match against Saham.
The same source clarified that Wydad officials held a meeting with Fawzi Al-Binzerti to persuade him to retract his resignation, which was agreed upon by both parties.
Consequently, the esteemed coach will continue his duties at the helm of the technical staff of the “Red Team.”
Al-Binzerti was contracted by Wydad during the current football season, succeeding the national coach Adel Ramezi. However, the Tunisian coach has so far failed to steer the team back on the right track.
This decision highlights the team’s commitment to stability and continuity despite recent setbacks.
It also underscores the confidence that the management has in Al-Binzerti’s ability to lead the team effectively in the upcoming challenges.
With renewed determination and focus, Wydad aims to bounce back and regain its winning form under Al-Binzerti’s leadership.
