Wydad drops to fifth place continentally

The Wydad Athletic Club continues its domestic dominance by leading the list of Morocco’s strongest teams, surpassing Royal Army and Raja Casablanca.

According to a recent ranking by “Football Data Buzz,” a website specializing in numbers and statistics, Wydad leads the list of Morocco’s strongest teams with 1564 points, followed by the Royal Army with 1551 points, while Raja ranks third with 1550 points.

However, the “Red Team” has dropped to fifth place continentally, trailing behind Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, who lead the ranking, as well as Egypt’s Al Ahly, Tunisia’s Esperance, and TP Mazembe of Congo.

The Royal Army ranks sixth continentally, with Raja placing seventh.

It is worth noting that Wydad was eliminated from the group stage of the CAF Champions League after finishing third in its group.

Meanwhile, Renaissance Berkane continues to defend the national football’s chances in the CAF Confederation Cup after reaching the quarter-finals by topping their group.
