Wydad Casablanca has secured agreements with several European clubs to play friendly matches as part of their preparations for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup, set to take place in the United States next month.
The Moroccan giants will host Sevilla at Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca later this month, marking their final home game before heading to Europe.
Following that, Wydad will face Porto in an additional friendly to complete their buildup.
While Wydad also planned a friendly against Inter Milan, the Italian club’s commitment to the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the month prevented the fixture from materialising.
Wydad is keen to face an Italian opponent ahead of the tournament, given that they are drawn in the same World Cup group as Juventus, alongside Manchester City and Al Ain from the UAE.
Despite their shaky performances in the Moroccan topflight, Wydad Casablanca are determined to make an impact at the Club World Cup.
