Moroccan giants Wydad Casablanca have bolstered their squad with the signing of Dutch centre-back Bart Meyers.
Meyers, who recently passed his medical at the Mohammed VI Complex—where the team is currently in camp—will be included in Wydad’s squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States later this month.
The Dutch defender joins a group of new signings officially registered for the tournament, including Burkinabe forward Aziz Kei, Hamza El Hanouri, Sofyan Amrabat, and Hamza El Ouassiti.
Meanwhile, the club is still in talks with Renaissance Berkane’s Walid Sebbar, who could become their sixth summer acquisition if negotiations are successful.
Wydad has been drawn into Group G for the Club World Cup, where they will face European champions Manchester City, Italian heavyweights Juventus, and UAE side Al Ain.
