Wydad Casablanca Football Club broke their streak of negative results by achieving a crucial victory over Chabab Mohammedia with a scoreline of 5-2 in the 17th round of the Professional Football Championship.
The match took place at the Bouchaib Stadium in Mohammedia.
“The Red Team” managed to shake the net of Chabab Mohammedia early on, thanks to the new recruit Sidi Ammar Bouna, who scored a header.
Fawzi Benzarti’s team continued to search for a second goal, which came from player Ougneyss, after receiving a pass from Ayoub El Amaloud.
“Team Fadili” succeeded in narrowing the gap in the second half when Youssef Dellouzi scored a fantastic goal with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area.
However, the joy of Chabab Mohammedia did not last long as Wydad Casablanca added their third goal through Adi Ougneyss from a pass by Abdellah Haimoud.
Continuing to intensify and diversify their attacks, the “Yahya Jabrane’s comrades” saw their fourth goal scored by the Mauritanian international player Sidi Ammar Bouna with a header assisted by Ismail El Haddad.
Ayoub El Amaloud concluded Wydad’s goal festival by scoring the fifth goal of the match from a penalty kick awarded by referee Jalal Jaid after a foul on Hamdou El Houni.
Minutes before the end of the match, Youssef Essaffafi managed to score the second goal for Chabab Mohammedia, taking advantage of a defensive mistake by Wydad.
Wydad Casablanca Football Club climbed to fourth place with 28 points, while Chabab Mohammedia remained at 18 points in 13th place.
