Wydad Casablanca will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host AS FAR at the Mohammed V Stadium on Saturday in a key Round 28 fixture of the Moroccan top flight.
Currently sitting third on the table with 45 points, Wydad trail second-placed AS FAR by six points. A win would narrow the gap to just three points and boost their hopes of climbing the standings.
Despite their recent dip in form—going six matches without a win—Wydad will be hoping to draw strength from their historical dominance over AS FAR.
The two sides have clashed 145 times, with Wydad claiming 46 victories to FAR’s 34, while 65 encounters ended in draws.
Wydad have also outscored their rivals with 136 goals compared to FAR’s 108. Their most emphatic win came in 2016 with a commanding 5-0 victory.
