Wydad Casablanca’s top brass is set to hold an emergency meeting in preparation for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
The gathering will bring together club president Hicham Ait Mena, head coach Amine Benhachem, technical director Hassan Benabicha, and key members of the club’s executive management.
Sources close to the club suggest the meeting will feature several pivotal decisions, including the presentation of the team’s strategic roadmap ahead of their trip to the U.S. early next month for the global tournament.
Among the agenda items are the official unveiling of Wydad’s new tournament jersey, the announcement of a new principal sponsor, and the possibility of fresh commercial partnerships.
Another key issue expected to be discussed is the future of coach Amine Benhachem, who has reportedly expressed interest in stepping down from his current role to return to his former position as sporting director.
The club’s leadership will also deliberate on the permanent signing of three players currently on loan: South African duo Maslula and Lorch, as well as Mehdi Mbarek, who is on loan from UAE’s Al Ain.
Wydad Casablanca has been drawn in Group B of the FIFA Club World Cup, where they will face tough competition from Al Ain, Juventus, and Manchester City.
