Wydad Casablanca are on the brink of completing the signing of Burkinabe striker Aziz Kyi from Tanzanian giants Young Africans.
The highly-rated forward is expected to sign a long-term contract with the Moroccan club, following months of interest and negotiations.
Wydad have been monitoring Kyi since last summer and renewed their pursuit during the winter transfer window. However, talks initially stalled due to disagreements over financial terms.
Recent reports indicate that the deal is now nearing completion after Young Africans lowered their asking price, paving the way for Kyi’s move to Morocco.
The 26-year-old is tipped to be included in Wydad Casablanca’s squad for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup in the United States.
Kyi has been in fine form for Young Africans, netting five goals in nine appearances.
