Wydad Athletic Club secures permanent signing of South African star Thembinkosi Lorch

Wydad Athletic Club have confirmed the permanent signing of South African midfielder Thembinkosi Lorch.

Lorch initially arrived at Wydad on a six-month loan from Mamelodi Sundowns in January 2025, impressing with a series of standout performances, notably at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

Following his successful stint, Wydad moved to secure his services permanently in July, though the negotiations faced delays as all parties worked to finalize contractual details.

The deal has now been completed, with Lorch having officially signed his contract. He is expected to play a pivotal role for Wydad as the club prepares for the upcoming season.
