Wydad Casablanca has resumed talks with former midfielder Yahya Jabrane as the club prepares for the upcoming football season.
Jabrane, currently a free agent after leaving the Kuwaiti league last season, has re-entered negotiations with Wydad following the club’s return from the Club World Cup in the United States.
Initial discussions had stalled over disagreements regarding contract length and signing fees.
The collapse of the Walid Sebbar transfer and Renaissance Berkane’s interest in signing Jabrane as cover for the injured Yassine Bhiri have reignited Wydad’s pursuit of their former player.
Sources close to the situation told Kooora that Jabrane favours a return to Wydad, showing a willingness to accept reduced financial terms to contribute to the club’s ambitions in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
Both sides are now working to finalise the deal ahead of Wydad’s upcoming training camp in Türkiye as they build momentum for the new campaign.
