Due to political instability in the Central African Republic, the national football team, Fauves de l’Oubangui, will play its 2014 World Cup qualifier match against Ethiopia on neutral ground in Congo. The decision comes after the previous match against South Africa was played in Yaoundé, Cameroon, due to similar reasons. The Central African Republic has already been eliminated from the competition, while Ethiopia still has a chance to advance but no longer controls its destiny. South Africa needs a victory against Botswana to secure its spot in the next round.
