The Iranian national team is facing unusual challenges ahead of the World Cup. Due to economic constraints, players have been instructed not to exchange jerseys in order to preserve a single set for multiple uses.
However, the difficulties don’t end there. Players have observed that their kit shrinks significantly after washing, with striker Karim Ansarifard expressing his frustration: “We are given size L socks, but after just two days and one wash, they become size S.”
Coach Carlos Queiroz has attributed the issue to the German equipment manufacturer Uhlsport, which supplies the Iranian team. Queiroz believes that the provided equipment is not suitable for playing in extreme humidity conditions, which could potentially jeopardize their performance in the World Cup.
These challenges present unprecedented circumstances for a team participating in the World Cup, highlighting the unique obstacles faced by the Iranian squad.
