Mexico’s national football team coach, Miguel Herrera, announced the 23-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Brazil. Despite limited playing time at Manchester United, Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez has been included in the squad, along with Guillermo Ochoa, the goalkeeper from Ajaccio, France.
Alan Pulido, known for his crucial contributions during Mexico’s qualification, has also made the cut. However, Villarreal’s Javier Aquino is notably absent from the list. Other key players in the squad include Giovani dos Santos, Oribe Peralta, and captain Rafael Marquez.
Mexico has been drawn in Group A alongside Brazil, Cameroon, and Croatia.
