Brice Dja Djédjé, who transferred from Evian to Olympique de Marseille in January, is experiencing a remarkable ascent. Recently selected for the Ivory Coast national team for the World Cup, he dreams of securing a spot among the final 23 players chosen by Sabri Lamouchi.
Reflecting on the challenges ahead, Dja Djédjé acknowledges the difficulty of facing teams like Japan, Greece, and Colombia in the group stage. He acknowledges, “It’s going to be very difficult because they are not easy teams. Colombia has quite a few very good players, Japan too, and Greece is a difficult team to play against.”
However, he remains optimistic, recognizing that in football, anything is possible. While acknowledging that Ivory Coast may not be considered the favorites in the group, he emphasizes the team’s potential, stating, “You know that in football everything is possible. I don’t think we are the favorites of the group, even if Ivory Coast has a lot of experienced players. It’s going to be a very interesting group.”
