FIFA (International Federation of Association Football) has announced the candidate countries for hosting its upcoming competitions, including the 2019 Women’s World Cup. Among the five nations vying for the opportunity to host this prestigious event is South Africa. The rainbow nation will face stiff competition from England, France, South Korea, and New Zealand.
It’s worth noting that Africa recently hosted the Men’s World Cup just four years ago and will also host the Women’s Under-20 World Cup.
The deadline for submitting the required documents and the organizational agreement is set for October 31, 2014. The final decision on the host country will be made during the first session of the FIFA Executive Committee in 2015.
Exciting news! The countries that have expressed their interest in hosting the #wwc 2019 include @FA, @FFF, @theKFA, @NZ_Football, and @SAFA_net.
