William Rashidi makes Nardo move as Lecce loan out right-back
Sweden and DR Congo defender William Rashidi has joined Nardo from Lecce U20 on loan for the 2026-27 season. The 20-year-old right-back has moved to the Italian club on 1 September, with the agreement running until 30 June 2027.
Rashidi, who is right-footed, joins Nardo after beginning the season with Lecce’s Under-20 side in Primavera 1. He did not make an appearance in the two possible matches recorded before his departure.
The move gives Rashidi a switch from youth football to Nardo’s senior set-up in Serie D – H, although the deal is temporary and he is scheduled to return to Lecce when the loan expires.
Rashidi spent the 2025-26 season with Lecce U20 after leaving Borussia Dortmund Under-19s on a free transfer in July 2025. He had joined Dortmund’s youth system from AIK Under-17s in July 2022 before progressing to the German club’s Under-19 team a year later.
His career to date has therefore included youth football in Sweden, Germany and Italy, with the move to Nardo representing his latest change of club and competition. Rashidi’s listed position is right-back, while his international eligibility includes both Sweden and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
He joins Nardo with a market value of €200,000 and a contract arrangement at Lecce that keeps him tied to the club beyond the current loan period. The transfer records show that his return to Lecce is scheduled for 30 June 2027.
Rashidi’s move was completed on 1 September 2026, with Nardo securing the right-back from Lecce U20 on loan until the end of the 2026-27 season.
