Wilfried Zaha linked with Roma move after leaving Galatasaray

Wilfried Zaha, the Ivory Coast international who also holds English nationality, has been linked with a move to Serie A club Roma after leaving Galatasaray and becoming without a club.

The 33-year-old left winger’s potential move to Roma was reported on 3 September, although no agreement has been confirmed and no probability has been attached to the rumour.

Zaha ended his time at Galatasaray on 1 July 2026, having spent the previous season on loan at Charlotte. His transfer status leaves him unattached as Roma consider whether to pursue a deal for the experienced attacker.

He joined Galatasaray from Crystal Palace on a free transfer in July 2023 and helped the Turkish club win the league title and Turkish Super Cup in his first season. He subsequently spent part of the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Lyon before moving to Charlotte on loan in January 2025.

Zaha has made 44 MLS appearances, scoring 13 goals and providing eight assists. His career also includes 305 Premier League appearances, 68 goals and 31 assists, most of them coming during two spells with Crystal Palace.

He began his senior career at Palace before joining Manchester United in January 2013. He returned to Selhurst Park permanently in February 2015 and remained there until his move to Galatasaray.

Zaha’s current status is unchanged: he is without a club, while Roma remain the club linked with a possible move.
