Wilfried Zaha receives huge $10m-a-year offer from Libya
Ivory Coast international Wilfried Zaha has reportedly received a lucrative offer from Libyan club Al-Suwahili, with the proposed deal potentially worth up to $10m a year.
Zaha, 33, has been without a club since leaving Galatasaray and is now considering his options for the next stage of his career.
According to reports, Al-Suwahili have offered the former Crystal Palace winger a two-year contract. The proposed salary could reach $10m per season, making the offer a significant financial opportunity for the player.
Zaha’s future has remained uncertain since his spell with Galatasaray came to an end. The Ivory Coast international is now attracting interest from clubs in different leagues as he weighs up his next move.
The offer from Al-Suwahili would see Zaha move to the Libyan league if he decides to accept the proposal.
The Libyan club is not the only side reportedly monitoring the situation. Italian club Lazio and United Arab Emirates side Al-Ain have also emerged as possible destinations for the winger.
A move to Lazio would give Zaha the opportunity to play in Serie A, while Al-Ain would offer another financially attractive option in the Middle East.
Zaha has played for several clubs during his career, most notably Crystal Palace, where he established himself before moving to Manchester United.
His career has also included spells at Galatasaray, Lyon and Charlotte FC.
The Ivory Coast international now faces a decision over where to continue his career after becoming a free agent.
Al-Suwahili’s reported proposal could provide Zaha with a major financial incentive, but the winger also has other options available as he considers his next move.
With interest coming from Libya, Italy and the United Arab Emirates, Zaha’s next destination remains undecided.
The reported two-year offer from Al-Suwahili, worth up to $10m annually, could nevertheless play an important role in determining where the experienced winger plays next.
