Wilfried Gnonto: Fiorentina linked with Leeds and Italy winger
Italian winger Wilfried Gnonto is the subject of a reported move from Premier League club Leeds to Serie A side Fiorentina, with the proposed transfer currently rated at 85%.
Gnonto, 22, plays as a right winger and has yet to make an appearance for Leeds this season, with the club having played two Premier League matches and one EFL Cup tie.
The player joined Leeds from Swiss club FC Zurich in September 2022 for €4.5m. He was part of the Leeds squad that won the English second-tier title in the 2024-25 season.
Gnonto’s current market value is listed at €16m, while his contract with Leeds runs until 30 June 2028. The length of that agreement means any move to Fiorentina would not be a free transfer.
Born in Verbania, Gnonto holds Italian and Ivorian nationality. He began his senior career with FC Zurich after progressing through Inter’s youth system before moving to England.
The reported interest comes as Fiorentina look towards a move for a player currently contracted to a Premier League club and yet to feature in Leeds’ 2026-27 campaign. No transfer fee has been confirmed, and the proposed switch remains a rumour rather than a completed deal.
