Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger has said there is no need to hesitate when an offer comes from the Spanish giants, as he reflected on major moments and personal experiences at the club.
The German international, who is of Sierra Leonean descent, joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in 2022 and emphasized the significance of playing for the club.
“When an offer comes from Real Madrid, you can’t think twice,” he said. “When you join Real Madrid, I think you come to win the Champions League,” he told Alkass TV.
One of the standout moments Rüdiger highlighted was his first encounter with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
“I’ve played many matches, but I think facing Haaland for the first time changed everything for me at Real Madrid,” he said.
However, Rüdiger also addressed his more difficult moments, notably the team’s defeat in El Clásico against FC Barcelona, which he identified as his most challenging performance since joining the club.
Since his arrival, Rüdiger has been a key figure in Real Madrid’s defense, making over 100 appearances across various competitions.
His tenure has been marked by significant achievements, including winning the Champions League, La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish Super Cup.
