Barcelona legend Ronaldinho has heaped praise on Spanish forward of Moroccan descent Lamine Yamal.
Speaking in a recent interview, the former Brazilian star stated that what Yamal has achieved at his age is exceptional.
Ronaldinho hopes the new FC Barcelona sensation will go on to have a successful career just like he did.
“Messi and I made history, and now it’s Lamine Yamal’s turn to do the same. What he’s achieved so far at his age and with that talent is exceptional.
“I like watching players like him; they bring football to life. I hope he has a career like ours,” Ronaldinho told the media as quoted by Tribuna.
Ronaldinho continued, “I hope Barcelona wins the Champions League soon. They have young players who are fearless, daring, and extremely talented. They’re a team that knows what they want to play for, and Flick has done a fantastic job since his arrival.”
At 17, Lamine Yamal has already won the European Championship and the Spanish La Liga. He is among the favourites to win the 2025 Ballon d’Or.
