West Ham consider move for Roma defender Anass Salah-Eddine

Morocco-Netherlands defender Anass Salah-Eddine has been linked with a move from Roma to West Ham, with the proposed transfer involving the Championship club and the Serie A side.

Salah-Eddine, 24, joined Roma on 3 February 2025 and remains under contract until 30 June 2028. His reported market value is €12m.

The left-back has yet to make an appearance for Roma in Serie A this season, having been listed in two possible matches without featuring. He did play four times at the 2026 World Cup, starting 33% of his matches and playing 37% of the available minutes.

Salah-Eddine was part of Morocco’s Africa Cup of Nations-winning team in 2025. He was born in Amsterdam and has also won the Dutch league with Ajax and PSV Eindhoven, doing so in 2021-22 and 2025-26 respectively.

The defender’s current deal means any move would not be a free transfer, with two years remaining on his Roma contract after the current campaign. No transfer fee or probability has been established for the reported switch.

He is currently registered as a Roma player and has not featured for the club in Serie A during the opening two possible matches of the 2026-27 season.
