Reports from British media have indicated that the new West Ham manager, Spaniard Julen Lopetegui, is attempting to convince the club’s management to sign Moroccan international Youssef En-Nesyri, the Sevilla striker, in the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to a report by English site “Football Insider,” Lopetegui has proposed to West Ham’s management to make a new offer to secure the signature of En-Nesyri, affirming that he is a player who would greatly benefit the team’s attacking line in the English Premier League next season.
The same source pointed out that West Ham is interested in En-Nesyri’s services and is planning to make a lucrative financial offer to Sevilla to seal the deal, noting that they had previously negotiated with the Spanish club’s officials last season without success.
It was also clarified that Lopetegui would play a significant role in this deal and is looking to entice En-Nesyri with the prospect of playing in the English league, especially considering that the latter had previously played under the Spanish coach at Sevilla.
The Moroccan top scorer has showcased impressive performances as the current season draws to a close, having scored 19 goals in 38 appearances in all competitions for Sevilla.
En-Nesyri’s contract with Sevilla expires next summer, and it is expected that his club will receive several offers for his transfer to capitalize on him financially.
