Head coach of Al Ahly Marcel Koller says his outfit will play to snatch qualification to the semifinals of the CAF Champions League over Al Hilal.
The record Champions League holders will play host to the Sudanese giants in the quarterfinals first leg on Tuesday evening at the Cairo International stadium before traveling for the reverse fixture.
“We know it will be a tough match, and our opponents play well, especially away from home. We will play to qualify for the semi-finals,” Kohler said in a press conference today.
“We prepared and gave the players a proper rest. With the return of the internationals and the friendly match, we have renewed everyone’s passion, and we are very excited ahead of the match.”
Koller has already announced his squad for the much-anticipated clash on Tuesday.
