RS Berkane’s Yassine Labhiri remains grounded despite his team’s stunning 4-0 win over CS Constantine in the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final first leg.
The Moroccan side dominated the match on Sunday, giving them a strong advantage ahead of the return fixture in Algeria next week.
Labhiri, a standout performer for Berkane, emphasized the importance of staying level-headed after the big win. While the scoreline reflects complete control, he insists the job is far from done.
“We will go into the second leg with the same seriousness and determination to reach the final and reclaim the African title,” Labhiri told Kooora.
“Unexpected scenarios can happen in football, so we must not be overly optimistic ahead of the second leg,” he added.
“Thanks and praise must go to the players, the fans and the technical staff, it was a match for history, and we are determined to compete on all fronts,” he ended.
The second leg in Algeria promises to be intense, but Labhiri‘s message is clear Berkane must finish what they started.
