Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has stressed the importance of making teenager Ethan Nwaneri feel valued at the club.
The England-born teenager of Nigerian descent has enjoyed a breakthrough season in the ongoing 2024/25 football season.
In the three months when Bukayo Saka was out of action with a hamstring injury, Ethan Nwaneri filled the void in the Arsenal team, playing an important role for the team.
Although he has returned to the bench following the return of Saka, Mikel Arteta insists that Ethan Nwaneri remains important for his team.
“We have the most energy into making sure that the players that we have with us are happy, they feel valued, they feel very much part of what we are doing, they feel important. And then the rest of the necessities, okay, we can look, especially in our academy first, and then if we cannot do that, elsewhere,” the Arsenal manager said.
With Arsenal preparing for the crucial clash against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League next week, Arteta could call on Nwaneri to start the upcoming match against Brentford in the English Premier League on Saturday.
