Kaizer Chiefs defender Edmilson Dove has opened up on the club’s disappointing 2024/25 campaign in the South African top-flight.
The Soweto outfit has endured a tough season in the Premiership despite their Cup success over Orlando Pirates.
Speaking in an interview, the enterprising defender admitted letting the team down while urging a swift turn around next season.
“I’ve already said this is one of the biggest clubs in Africa, and when you come here, you come to win titles… There’s no time for rebuilding or for ending up in a position like the one we’re in now”
“I think, at some point, we let the club down because we didn’t achieve our goals. But that’s exactly why we get the chance to fight every day. We can’t dwell on the past”
“We have to look forward and see what’s ahead. Yes, as a group, we believe we could have had a better season. Right now, we just want to focus on what we can do in this moment—and that’s making it into the top eight,” Dove stated.
