Nigeria midfielder Frank Onyeka is confident they have a chance to secure a ticket for the 2026 World Cup.
The Super Eagles currently sit 4th in Group C with 7 points after six matches played in the qualifiers. Eric Chelle’s side has recorded a win, four draws and a defeat.
Despite their shaky performances, Onyeka beleives they have a chance to feature at the global showpiece, which will be hosted in the USA, Canada and Mexico next year.
“We still have a chance to qualify. We have to win the rest of our four matches, and hopefully, we will qualify,” a confident Onyeka tells Joy Sports.
In the Matchday 7 and 8 games, Nigeria will host Rwanda before travelling to play South Africa in September.
