Pyramids FC midfielder Youssef Obama has reacted to the team’s historic CAF Champions League triumph.
The Egyptian club clinched the 2024/25 CAF Champions League on Sunday, June 1, after beating Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in the second leg of the final to secure a 3-2 aggregate victory.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Youssef Obama thanked God for blessing the team with the historic feat.
He noted that all the players dreamt of winning the CAF Champions League title and are delighted that they have finally achieved it.
“Thank God for everything. We were lucky. The players were real men throughout the season, and we have been focused since the first day of the season.
“We maintained our focus until God blessed us with the fulfillment of our dream. It is a dream that happened to all of us. We dreamed it and we fulfilled it,” Youssef Obama said.
After winning the 2025 CAF Champions League, Pyramids FC have become the fourth club from Egypt to win the continental trophy.
