Zamalek SC head coach, Jose Peseiro, says his side deserves their place in the Egypt Cup final.
Zamalek recorded a 2-1 win against Ceramica Cleopatra on Friday at Cairo Stadium.
“I salute the Zamalek fans, who have always supported the team, he said after the game.
“The match was tough, but we performed well and deserved the win. I also thank Ceramica and their coach, Ali Maher, for the strong performance.”
Regarding the penalty kick missed by his player, Abdullah Al-Saeed, he said: “Missing penalty kicks is normal in football, but the most important thing is that the team did not give up and succeeded in achieving victory and qualifying for the final.”
Zamalek SC will now turn their attention to their CAF Confederation Cup game against Stellenbosch FC on Wednesday, April 2 at the Cape Town Stadium.
