Al Ahly striker Wessam Abu Ali has reiterated his outfit desire to secure the CAF Champions League for the third consecutive time.
The Egyptian powerhouse, who are the defending champions of the CAF’s elite club competition are currently in the semifinals. Al Ahly will lock horns with Mamelodi Sundowns in a two legged affair as both teams battle for a place in the final.
Sundowns will play host to the Egyptian powerhouse in the first leg of the semifinals on Saturday before traveling for the return clash on April 25.
Speaking ahead of the game, the enterprising attacker affirmed his sides is seeking to win the Champions League title for the third time in a row.
“We are preparing well and are excited to achieve a positive result that will facilitate the second leg.”
He added, “Al Ahly players are well focused and planning to win, which is their main goal. There have been several sessions that brought the players together, and everyone agreed to do their best.”
“We are seeking to achieve a historic achievement by winning the African title for the third time in a row, and the second time for me, in order to please the fans,” he continued.
