Walter Bwalya, the Congolese striker who parted ways with Al Ahly, expressed his belief that he failed to prove himself with the Red Castles, leading to his departure from the team.
In an interview with the “Kora Kol Yom” program on Al Hayah TV, Bwalya stated, “When you play for Al Ahly, you must be at the peak of your performance in every match.”
Reflecting on his time at Al Ahly, he added, “I was the top scorer for the team at El Gouna, but things were different at Al Ahly.
With the onset of my success, the coach decided to sign another player, and I left. I should have proven myself better.”
Addressing the rumors of negotiations with Zamalek, Bwalya clarified, “It was just speculation.
One of the agents spoke to me, but it did not progress to anything official.”
He concluded, “In six months, I will return to the Egyptian league with a big club.”
The statements from Bwalya shed light on the challenges faced during his stint with Al Ahly and dispel the rumored negotiations with Zamalek.
The striker, known for his goal-scoring prowess, hinted at a comeback to the Egyptian football scene, emphasizing his intent to join a prominent club in the league.
