Brazilian legend, Rivaldo has raised concern about the performance of Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr in the national team.
According to him, the talented forward who is of Cameroonian descent must step up his game and do better for the Brazil national team.
“Vini has – I don’t know how many caps for the national team – and just six goals? He’s got to step up! He’s a brilliant player, after all,” Rivaldo told Spanish media on the sidelines of a promotional event for his sponsor Betfair
Speaking on the performances of Rodrygo, and Raphinha as well, Rivaldo said, “All these big players are accustomed to facing tough matches every now and then, but for most of the year, they’re up against mid-table sides or smaller teams.
Rivaldo’s criticism of the players comes on the back of Brazil’s disappointing 4-1 defeat to World Champions Argentina in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
