Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany has provided an update on the future of German winger of Senegalese descent, Leroy Sane.
Sane has been in fine form in recent matches, proving how important he is to the club.
Speaking after Bayern Munich’s 3-0 win over Mainz 05 on Saturday, Vincent Kompany confirmed that there have already been initial talks with the forward over contract extension.
However, he wants Leroy Sane and his agent to sit with the club to make a concrete decision.
“We’ve had contract discussions this season, and I’ve always been respectful. Leroy and his advisors need to sit down with the club and make a joint decision,” the manager said.
Leroy Sane’s contract will expire at the end of the ongoing 2024/25 football season.
It is understood that the club has offered the forward a new three-year deal and hopes to reach an agreement sooner rather than later.
