Vincent Aboubakar insists Tammy Abraham is better than Victor Osimhen

Cameroon forward Vincent Aboubakar has stirred debate in Turkey by declaring that Besiktas striker Tammy Abraham is a better player than Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen, who powered Galatasaray to a domestic double last season, also finished as the Turkish Super Lig’s top scorer and has already struck nine goals in 13 games across all competitions this campaign.

Abraham, meanwhile, joined Besiktas on loan from AS Roma in the summer and has scored five times in 14 league matches for the Black Eagles.

Despite the contrast in numbers, Aboubakar believes Abraham’s qualities place him ahead of Osimhen when judged on overall footballing ability.

“Based on the football they play, Tammy Abraham,” Aboubakar told Ertem Şener YT as reported by FutbolArena.

He continued, “Because he knows football well. The team needs to use the player well. If he can’t score, you need to improve around him. Since Galatasaray works well, Osimhen scores goals. Put Abraham in Galatasaray. He’d score a lot. He’d play better than Osimhen.”
