Vigor Lamezia add Senegal forward Momar Diop to Serie D squad

Senegal centre-forward Momar Diop has joined Vigor Lamezia from Vigor Francavilla on a free transfer, completing his move to the Serie D – I club.

The 20-year-old, who is right-footed, has signed a contract with Vigor Lamezia running until 30 June 2027. He arrives after two years with Vigor Francavilla, where he played in Serie D – H.

Diop made 52 appearances in Serie D – H, scoring five goals and providing one assist. He also featured in the Coppa Serie D, making three appearances and scoring once, while recording one appearance in the play-offs.

His move takes him from one Serie D division to another, with Vigor Lamezia competing in Serie D – I for the 2026-27 season. The transfer was completed without a fee, and Diop was registered by his new club on 15 August 2026.

Diop joined Vigor Francavilla from Casarano in July 2024, also on a free transfer. He had previously moved to Casarano in November 2023.

The forward’s arrival adds a Senegalese attacking option to Vigor Lamezia’s squad, with the club securing his services without a transfer payment. His market value is listed at €50,000.

Diop has now completed his second senior club move without a fee, following his switch from Casarano to Vigor Francavilla. His contract with Vigor Lamezia is in place until June 2027.
