Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal are reportedly redirecting their transfer funds in search of a marquee signing to bolster their squad ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup.
The club had initially earmarked a significant budget in an attempt to lure Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah, but those plans have now changed.
According to Givemesport journalist Ben Jacobs, Al Hilal have retained the same central budget but are now targeting a new superstar. The Saudi Pro League champions remain eager to make a big splash with a headline arrival.
One standout name on their radar is Nigerian forward Victor Osimhen, who is reportedly open to a move to Saudi Arabia.
Osimhen has been in red-hot form this season at Galatasaray, where he is on loan from Napoli. The 26-year-old has lit up the Turkish Super Lig, scoring 21 goals and providing four assists in just 24 appearances.
Al Hilal’s intent to strengthen their attack comes as they prepare to take on some of the world’s best at the upcoming Club World Cup.
