Victor Osimhen remains central to Galatasaray’s plans despite transfer speculation

Galatasaray have no intention of allowing Victor Osimhen to leave during the summer transfer window, despite growing speculation over the Nigeria international’s future.

According to reports from Footy-Africa, the Istanbul club’s hierarchy regard the 27-year-old striker as a key part of their sporting project and are not prepared to consider his departure. The club have not received an official offer for Osimhen and do not currently plan to open negotiations with any interested party.

Osimhen joined Galatasaray after his spell at Napoli and quickly established himself as one of the leading goalscorers in the Turkish championship. His form has attracted attention from several prominent European clubs, prompting continued reports that he could be the subject of a major transfer.

Barcelona, Chelsea and Tottenham have all been mentioned among the clubs potentially interested in the striker. However, Galatasaray’s position is understood to be firm. The Turkish side believe Osimhen is essential to their ambitions both domestically and in European competitions, and have no desire to weaken their squad by selling their centre-forward.

His importance to the club has grown since his arrival in Turkey, with his performances making him one of Galatasaray’s principal figures. Despite the interest surrounding him, Osimhen remains focused on achieving his targets with the club.

The striker is under contract with Galatasaray until 30 June 2029. Unless there is a major change before the end of the transfer window, he is expected to remain in Turkey and continue his career with the Istanbul club.

Osimhen currently earns an annual salary of €18,750,000, equivalent to 12,187,500,000 FCFA. His market value is estimated at €75m by Transfermarkt.

Galatasaray’s refusal to entertain discussions reflects the status Osimhen has established within the club since moving from Napoli. While interest from leading sides has fuelled uncertainty about his next move, there is presently no indication that the Turkish champions are willing to turn that speculation into a formal transfer process.
