Three selections have been identified for Friday, 17 October, with Harry Kane, Erling Haaland and Paris Saint-Germain the recommended options in a football betting accumulator.
Bayern Munich v Leipzig – 16:30 GMT
Recommended bet: Harry Kane to score (odds: 1.36)
Bayern Munich have the Bundesliga’s most productive attack, with 16 goals already scored, and have been particularly effective at home. The German champions have averaged at least five goals across their past three league matches on their own ground.
Harry Kane is expected to lead the threat against Leipzig as he prepares to make his 100th appearance for Bayern Munich. The England captain has also scored seven times against Leipzig during his career, making him the clear first choice in the goalscorer market.
Bayern will be without the injured Jamal Musiala, while Leipzig are missing Marc Guiu. However, Leipzig’s away form remains a major concern. They have lost their past three matches on the road and conceded nine goals during that run, leaving Kane well placed to take advantage of Bayern’s attacking superiority.
Manchester City v Ipswich – 14:00 GMT
Recommended bet: Erling Haaland to score (odds: 1.40)
Manchester City go into this Premier League fixture having won their first six league matches of the season. Their attacking strength has been especially evident after half-time, when they have scored 11 goals.
Erling Haaland is again the obvious player to watch. The Manchester City striker has scored four goals in his two previous meetings with Ipswich Town and has already established himself as the main source of the hosts’ attacking threat.
Ipswich have struggled to provide defensive security away from home and have allowed opponents a large number of opportunities. The newly promoted side have also failed to keep a clean sheet since the start of the season.
Manchester City’s most recent match ended in a 4-2 Champions League defeat by PSG, and Haaland will be looking to respond in front of the home supporters. Against an Ipswich defence that has yet to shut out an opponent this season, the Norway international should have favourable conditions in which to add to his tally.
Strasbourg v PSG – 15:15 GMT
Recommended bet: PSG to win more than 4.5 corners (odds: 1.40)
Paris Saint-Germain arrive with renewed confidence after their impressive 4-2 Champions League victory away to Manchester City. Ousmane Dembele was central to that success, providing an assist and scoring in midweek.
The French champions should dominate possession against Strasbourg and spend long periods applying pressure in the hosts’ half. Strasbourg will be without the injured Ismael Doukoure and Sebastian Nanasi.
Although Strasbourg have scored all of their past 16 goals after the 30-minute mark in closely contested matches, they regularly face sustained attacking pressure. PSG’s technical quality and frequent use of the wings are likely to produce a high volume of attacks, creating opportunities for the reigning champions to win at least five corners.
