Victor Osimhen and Rayan Cherki, two players long linked with moves to Paris Saint-Germain, are unlikely to make a January switch to the French capital.
According to Téléfoot, despite ongoing rumors, neither will be arriving at the Parc des Princes this month.
PSG’s pursuit of a traditional No.9 has been marred by tensions between sporting director Luís Campos and head coach Luis Enrique. Osimhen, who had been strongly linked with a summer move, ended up securing a loan deal with Galatasaray from Napoli. While Campos had pushed for the Nigerian’s arrival this January, Enrique remains hesitant about bolstering the attack with a center-forward.
Cherki, on the other hand, had been eyed for a summer move, but a last-minute change of heart saw him favor Borussia Dortmund. While PSG’s interest remained despite the winger’s strong start to the season, the French club now shifts focus. As per Téléfoot, PSG is actively searching for a winger to compete with Bradley Barcola but has abandoned moves for both Osimhen and Cherki this month.
According to Transfermarkt, Victor Osimhen’s market value is 75,000,000 euros. Rayan Cherki’s market value is 30,000,000 euros.
